As our nation's greatest treasure reaches its highest point, it flies for the final time at the 2007 Buckeye Girls State session.



Citizens of BGS arrive for the last flag ceremony on Saturday.



On the final flag raising, all five counties of Buckeye Girls State attend to show their respect for our country's flag.



The BGS County Sheriffs watch and listen as the Ashland Sheriff Deputy explains and demonstrates the use of the K-9 unit.



The vehicles that were involved in yesterday's mock crash became the perfect place for the Ashland County Sheriff's Office to hide drugs to demonstrate the incredible talents of the K-9 Unit Spike.



A sergeant of the Ashland County Sheriff's Department demonstrates Spike's strength as he attacks her upon order of his handler.



The closing ceremony consisted of a joint session of the House of Representatives and Senate. Sounds of cheering were heard as the processional began.



Both the House and Senate read their bills passed and signed into law by the Governor.



The 2007 BGS Governor gives her State of the State address where she read the accomplishments of state, county, and city governments.



The President and the Senate and the Speaker of the House speak at the final joint session.



One of the award winners at the closing ceremony was the presentation of the Samsung Scholarship nominee.



Just as the opening session began with the advancement of the colors, the retirement of the American Flag and the flag of Buckeye Girls State were carried out of the assembly ending the 2007 Buckeye Girls State session. Goodbye and good luck to all the delegates and staff. It was a great week!
