Upon the election of the governor of Buckeye Girls State, cabinet positions have been appointed and they are seen here organizing their office.

Buckeye Girls State was very fortunate and truly grateful to Christopher Geidner and Kasey Martini, of Governor Strickland's office of Veterans' Affairs, who took time out of their busy schedule to come and assist our executive branch.

The Ashland Fire Department worked all week with the BGS Fire Chiefs.

The color guard for the BGS State Highway Patrol Troopers began the graduation program with the advancement of colors.

Ashland Judge Damian Vercillo administered the oath of office to the 2007 Buckeye Girls State Patrol graduation class.

As each trooper's name was called, they were handed their certificates and congratulated on stage by the OSP Troopers.

Along with the BGS elected officials to the top seven elected offices, their families were invited to attend a reception in their honor prior to the evening's program.

Ohio's American Legion Auxiliary President Donna Ray, provided introductions to the 2007 BGS Governor to the many attendees at the reception.

The band and chorus perform at the County and State Celebration night.

Delegates enjoy the music provided by the band and chorus prior to the opening of the County and State Celebration.

Buckeye Girls State was fortunate to have the Ohio American Legion Commander Ed Anderson, Grande Chef de Gare Ken Harris, and Ohio Sons of the American Legion Command Grant Martin who brought greetings to the delegation from the over 1200 Buckeye Boys Staters who just completed their week at Bowling Green State University.

A tradition at Girls State, the Grand Chef de Gare presents gavels to the President of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives.

Judge Patricia A. Blackmon addresses the delegation and stresses the importance of taking the oath of office. Judge Blackmon has been kind to participate in the County and City Celebration for the past 6 years.

County elected officials raise their right hands to receive the oath of office to which they were elected.
