Volunteers that included American Legion Auxiliary members attentively learn about their roles in the registration process for the 60th Buckeye Girls State. These volunteers were able to efficiently register 891 delegates in only two hours!

The first stop for the arriving delegates was at the registration tables where volunteers checked them in and provided them with a registration card that would inform them what county, city, and party they would be a part of.

Delegates look for the correct registration table and begin to make new friends.

A delegate and her mother listen intently as they learn the next step in the process.

An abundance of BGS merchandise was available for sale during registration and is available for purchase throughout the week.

Finding their way… delegates and parents look for the correct dormitories.

Everyone is involved during the BGS move-in process. All delegates stay in the dormitories and each floor of the dorm is a BGS city.

Delegates and family members await their turn to find their rooms.

Everyone finds a spot in the elevator as delegates are being moved into the dormitories at Ashland University.

Preparing to Advance the Colors were delegates from O'Conner City, Smith County, and Flowers City, Schroeder County.

Maintaining the Auxiliary's core values, the 60th BGS session begins with an invocation led by Donna Ray, First Vice President of the Ohio American Legion Auxiliary.

Each delegate takes the oath and become a citizen of the mythical Buckeye State.

What an honor it was for these young ladies to become citizens for this year's Diamond Jubilee.
