Photographs ![]() Ashland University is eagerly awaiting the arrival of the 2005 Buckeye Girls State delegates. Their beauty and grace are matched throughout the grounds like this rose garden outside the library. ![]() With the reappearance of the command vehicle at the 2005 BGS session, this year’s delegates have the opportunity to tour one of the vital tools utilized by the State Highway Patrol. ![]() The campus exploration tour finds this group in Miller Hall. Diann Long, Deputy Director of County Government, explains to the group the structure and processes of county government. ![]() Nickoson County drops in on Attorney Kelly Long at Redwood. Here the girls will take the bar exam. The county party caucus is also held here. ![]() Patty Williams, Public Relations Director, shows the staff of Reese County the areas of Upper Convo. Her department works hard to make BGS "shine!" ![]() Dean Bloxham, BGS Coordinator, gives registration instructions to all the wonderful ladies and gentleman that volunteer to register over 850 delegates. Without their help it would be impossible to get through registration in two hours. ![]() Sunday, registration day, finds delegates coming and going from the gym. Within a two-hour period 866 delegates were registered. ![]() ![]() Welcome to BGS! First stop registration table. Volunteer American Auxiliary ladies greet and register the delegates as they arrive. ![]() How special! A 4th District legionnaire assists the ladies at registration. We are truly a Legion family! ![]() Our special BGS nursing staff is available in the gym at registration for the delegates to drop off their health forms and for care of any special needs or requests. Our nurses are available 24/7 and are always ready to assist any delegate or staff member. ![]() Specialized BGS clothing is made available to this year's delegates at time of registration and throughout the week. ![]() Once registration is complete delegates must take their luggage to their respective dorms. ![]() Always a wait at the elevators! Family members help their daughters "move in" to BGS! ![]() Desi Stoy, Buckeye Girls State Director, welcomes the 2005 delegates to BGS at the opening ceremony on Sunday June 12th. ![]() Dr. G.
